Re: Rattles in transmission.
--------------------------

Thank you for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KT13.7.33. - the position really is very much as you set it forth in the third paragraph of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KT9.5.33. - that is to say, that although the trouble may be fairly common, we do not get many complaints from customers.

Since, however, C. advised you that we had no trials car suffering from the complaint, we have two customers complaints on which we are advised the only cure is to fit the device whether it be damped fly wheel or anti-rattle clutch centre, which you think will overcome the trouble.

The two cases in question are GWX-29 ex R.C.Daniells, which EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} himself tried at W. and GDX-26 - Mrs. Angus, as to which we believe EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} also has experience. Both these are cases which have to be dealt with, and we should be glad if Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} would advise us how soon he can obtain from you or from the production side any parts that may be necessary.

H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints}
