'SS{S. Smith}' SERVO MECHANISM. X7420

We consider that it will be safe to proceed
with the SS.{S. Smith} servo and brake mechanism with the exception
of cams, and servo linings for a further series of material
after the first 50 cars.

We are not yet certain that we shall use Ferodo
servo linings even on the first 50 cars, but it appears to
be necessary to order these so that we shall not be held
up for a lining.
