Investigation having shown that the noise caused by the flopping of the sleeves is often accentuated by the cam ring being insufficiently rigid.

NO.2 "The available range of the advance lever should be ascertained and should not be less than 58°."

NO 4 In view of the remarks above in relation to the cam ring, it is considered that limits of the tangential force should be raised to from 3 to 5 lbs.
