The British Tyre & Rubber Company,
BURTON-ON-TRENT.

Attention Mr.Birbeck.

Dear Sirs,

Enclosed are prints number RB.{R. Bowen}10127 Body Mounting Upper, and RB.{R. Bowen}10128 Body Mounting Lower. These are of mounting rubbers which we wish to try out experimentally. We shall be obliged if you will let us know what you would like us to make in the way of moulds for producing these. There will be eight of each of these used for mounting one body. We should like three sets made of different durometer hardness. We have in mind, 45, 50 and 55. We estimate that each rubber will carry approximately 1 cwt.

Enclosed is also a print of a door glass bumper RB.{R. Bowen}12140. We shall be glad to know if you have anything similar to this. It is to be used on the side windows of the car in an experiment that we are carrying out, and so until we have completed this experiment, we do not wish to have moulds made, particularly as there are only two required for the car. The rubber should be soft and of a good quality as they will be used between overlapping glasses.

Yours faithfully,
for ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED,

Enclosed:
2 Prints, RB.{R. Bowen}10127, RB.{R. Bowen}10128 (Body Mounting Lower & Upper)
1 Print, 12140,(door glass bumper)
