re BELGIAN FUEL.

With further reference to above, and Tester Warwick's report circulated under EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/TmnL5/MR.2.6.33, we give below extract of report received from Jackson in Belgium on this matter. In this connection see also Jackson's report re International Flying Meeting at Bruxelles.

"Whilst Mr. Banks of the Ethyl Corporation who is very well known to our Firm and is often at Derby was arranging the doping of the Furies here, the question arose over the quality of the fuel.
Mr. Banks went into the whole question of the mixing of this fuel, because, his company in the past have made analysis in the past for Rolls Royce of Belgian fuel.
Anyhow to cut a long story short, Mr. Banks who is flying back with Mr. Bulman has taken a sample of Belgian Standard fuel which he is, he says, taking up to our works this week. He has approximately 2 litres which he says will be sufficient to obtain the data required."
