c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 1023 CONFIDENTIAL. 21st. June 1939. BY.6/N. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: Silver Dawn - 32.G.V11. Four Door Saloon. We enclose herewith a blueprint of PD.448, shewing the design of the coachwork for the above car, and also a complete specification. Will you please go ahead with the full-size drawing as soon as possible. The body is that of the B.50 Mock-up for a Four Light Saloon, but the waist mouldings have been changed to accommodate the R.R. radiator, which is the 30.G.V11. radiator moved back. We would like a stuck-on chromium moulding. The chassis is a B.50 with the 30.G.V11. radiator and a shortened 30.G.V11. bonnet. An official order will be sent in due course, and in the meantime we would be glad to receive a provisional delivery date for the car, assuming that you receive the chassis when required. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
