X. 3633 RE CHASSIS 1 EX- GENERAL NOTES.

I am directed by Mr. Royce to send information
concerning the following points which we would like altered:-

(4) SPARE WHEEL. X.3633.

The 150 m/m tyre does not fit in the pressed steel
trough sunk into the running board, which is apparently made for
a 135 m/m tyre. The trough should therefore be increased in
width.

Mr. Royce does not like the somewhat massive
aluminium casting at each end of the trough.

The lugs on the plate to which the top of the
spare wheel is secured by a strap are not far enough apart to
allow of the strap passing between them. The strap has therefore
to be threaded through the angle of the forged bracket.
This should be remedied.
