ROLLS ROYCE/BRISTOL LIAISON.

As already arranged, a meeting is to be held by Lr.{Mr Ellor} for a preliminary discussion on Altitude Performance Figures on Thursday, January 4th 1940.

It is hoped that the Bristol Representatives will bring with them prints of the position of the Auxiliary Drive Shaft and also prints of the Gear Box to be inter-changeable between the 'Hercules' and the 'Griffon' in S.B.A.C. Standard Group II Power Plants.

Messrs. Mansell, Anderson, Owner and Nixon are arriving at Derby on the evening of Wednesday, January 3rd and accomodation has been reserved for them at the Midland Hotel.

Transport has been arranged to take them to the Works so that they may examine the pieces of the 'Junkers' engine before coming on to Belper at about 11-0 a.m. The necessary passes have been prepared and it is understood Lr.{Mr Ellor} and Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} will accompany the Party.

A private room at the Lion Hotel, Belper has been reserved for a Party of eight for Lunch, at which E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and Lr.{Mr Ellor} have agreed to be present.
