Mr. Maddocks,
C/O Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Avenue Malakoff,
Paris.

Dear Maddocks,

Referring to your report of the 27th.inst.

We are rather anxious for you to give an explanation why the oil should not have run out of the oil over-flow drains of the rear hub instead of getting on to the brakes.

We should also like to know how the excess oil came to be put in the axle. 7-Goshawk-11, when it left here, had the oil level reduced 3/8" below the standard.

We have forwarded to you another pair of standard Goshawk road springs. We wish however, for you to use the new type ones as soon as you can get hold of them.

As regards the nuts working loose on the steering levers. Will you please watch these and see whether they come loose again.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
