Re Clutch Slip.

Replying to Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}14/HR.15.11.34.

We are not alarmed by the isolated case of clutch slip reported on the car of Mr. A.M.Mitchell, B-53-AE. On the whole the Bentley clutch has a less strenuous time than that of the 20/25. The car is lighter, the gearbox ratios are closer, and the flywheel is lighter, all of which are to the advantage of the clutch.

We have been experimenting with an improved Bentley clutch for 12 months, so that in the event of a recurrence of the trouble something may be available to overcome the complaint.
