- 2 - 21st. September 1938. Messrs. Park Ward & Co. Ltd., London. N.W.10. (a). cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} future all correspondence will be carried on directly under my supervision. (b). In regard to bodies for production chassis i.e. bodies to customers' requirements, all instructions for these will be issued as previously by Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} from Sales, and unless some point arises, for which Sales wish to have Derby's opinion, all this work will be carried on independently at London. In pursuit of the above, we shall make a visit to Park Wards on Friday to pick up all the various loose ends, following which complete specifications for all experimental bodies in hand will be produced and forwarded for Park Wards guidance, so as to prevent any delay or confusion arising as to what is really required. In this connection, we will therefore make definite decisions as to what is required for the 3rd or prototype body for B.50. In future, we wish to have a complete interchange of ideas between Derby, as represented by Messrs. Evernden and Draper, and Messrs. Park Ward & Co. Ltd. (represented by Mr. Wardand Mr. Finney) constantly taking place both in regard to design features and production requirements. The latter aspect of the case is to be given very complete consideration in the future, to ensure that any requirements put forward will not interfere with the question of the body being produced at a reasonable price, as we appreciate perfectly that costs and ease of production is of the utmost importance in future to both Companies. In regard to the actual testing of the bodies, Mr. Frank Dodd, as experimental body engineer, will be responsible for this aspect of the matter, and will deal with :- (a). The durability of all body accessories and working parts. (b). The testing of any new method of mounting. (c). The general suitability of the wing form and practicability of body. Reports will be issued by Mr. Dodd, and he will be available for consultation on any issue within his domain at any time either at Park Wards' Works or Derby, as may be most suitable | ||
