Mr Johnson from F.H.R. for T.C.
On my last run with Mr Johnson's car (L-E type) of about 40 miles, I had the cut-out open during most of the way and the explosions in the exhaust pipe were rather distressing. The extra valve to close the low speed jet should be fitted as quickly as possible.
Another point we noticed about the gear box on this car was that when we started the engine the noise was noticeable, but at the end of about 6 miles it was quite silent, i.e. side shaft noise.
F.{Mr Friese} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce.
