CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION - ENOTS-BIJUR SYSTEM.

LIST OF LUBRICATION POINTS.

THE Nos. REFER TO THOSE ON F.77877.

"Not altered" unless otherwise stated refers to the existing local application of the Bijur system. The piping has sometimes been altered.

UNIT (A) - FRONT AXLE.
Filled with oil once every three months, and comprising-

24. | Brake toggle shaft. | Not altered, very little lubrication needed.
25. | Top pivot bearings. | Not altered, but in future will be made more oil retaining.
26. | Axle control damper spindles. | @ Space is provided to be filled with oil by putting inlet hole in top and using cap nut on bolt: bolt reduced in centre.
27. | Brake operating shafts. | Already fairly oil retaining: drip plug moved to outer end.
28. | Cross steering levers. | Not altered.
29. | Side steering lever. | Not altered.
| Bottom pivot bearing. | Not in numbered list, but lubricated as now, & already very oil retaining.

UNIT (B) - REAR AXLE.

Filled with oil every three months, and comprising:

7. | Torque tube centre bearing & serrated joint. | Not altered: already very oil retaining.
34. | Rear brake camshaft RH.{R. Hollingworth} | Made more oil retaining by filling with oil and utilising wash.
35. | ditto | LH.{Mr Haworth} | ditto

UNIT (C) - MAIN SYSTEM.
Filled with oil every three months.
