X7830 DODD See me TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/12.12.33. COPY TO SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} F.{Mr Friese} HN.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} RE NEXT 10,000. MILES CAR. PHANTOM. We have arranged with Messrs Park Ward & Co. to build an Enclosed Drive Limousine, "E" Steering with sunshine roof for this chassis. The body will be ready for mounting, at the latest by the end of January. Messrs Park Ward & Co. and sending a definite quotation for the body today to HN{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} and EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} We understand that the last batch of Stock Limousines by Messrs Hooper & Co. have been used up, and the fresh batch have only just been put in hand. Will you please send EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} a list of the special features which will be tested on this chassis. As far as we are aware those effecting the coachwork are:- Wings over front horns, lamp brackets outside frame, and modified front apron. Revised 4th crossmember and battery. Concealed luggage grid. Rear Apron. Bulit in tail lamp etc. Tank with sealed filler and breather pipe. We would like to have fitted the Fisher Ventilating windows but we fear that we shall not have a set of fittings in time. Our only hope seems to be to make some up ourselves or to get the coachbuilder to do so. Unfortunately, we believe that this body will not take an interior heater behind the division but we could get one in by leaving out the off-side extra seat. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
