(1170 sq.cm.) STEERING - Worm and double roller type steering gear, with hour-glass type worm. Roller is mounted on two ball bearings. End thrust in worm is taken by tapered roller bearings at each end. Roller shaft is mounted on bronze bushings. Steering gear is fully adjustable, with fitting on top of housing for manual lubrication. Three-spoke steering wheel with reinforced rubber composition rim. Steel hub and spider covered with moulded rubber. No adjustment provided for steering post bracket. Steering Wheel Diameter 18" (.457 m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore}) Ratio 16 to 1 Steering movement is transferred to each front wheel by separate tie rods, connected to one arm of an "L" shaped lever (bell crank) which is mounted on ball bearings underneath the front frame cross member. Other arm of lever is connected to the drag link and thence to the pitman arm of the steering gear. The double tie rods move independently of each other in accordance with the individual movement of each front wheel, thereby maintaining practically a constant relationship between them and the wheel, which provides proper steering control. CHASSIS LUBRICATION - All chassis points requiring lubrication are provided with high pressure 3-point hydraulic Alemite fittings for manual lubrication. Pressure gun provided in tool equipment. BODY AND EQUIPMENT CLOSED BODIES - By Fisher, black rubberized Pontop imitation leather top material 10-T-1233. UPHOLSTERY - Tan Bedford cord or Taupe ribbed Mohair.
