R.R. H.15A. 100 (?) (?) H.H. 11/11. 11-5-20. Q. 1500 COPY 28th May, 1921. H7/TB/28.5.21. J.P. Baron, Esq., Bydews Place, Tovil MAIDSTONE. Dear Mr. Baron, Many thanks for your letter of the 27th inst., which I am forwarding to our Derby Works' Technical Dept., in order that they may appreciate the suggestions you make with regard to spring gaiters. With reference to your old gaiters, I think the best course would be for you to return them to us when you have fitted the new ones, in order that we may take the matter up with the makers. I have telegraphed to you to-day to inform you that the correct setting of the platinum points of the low tension contact breaker of the battery ignition is a maximum of .02 of an inch. This adjustment is described on page 25 of the supplement to the Instruction Book entitled "Instructions for the care of Rolls-Royce Electric Starting, Lighting and Ignition Systems". This supplement should be in your possession as it was issued with each chassis to accompany the Pre-War edition of the main Instruction Book. Please let me know if you have not got it. Yours very truly, For ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED. Inspecting Engineers' Department. [Stamp] Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} MAY 30 1921 RECEIVED | ||
