Calorizing of Exhaust Pipes.
"V" Series.

Referring to By14/H6.8.25 and previous correspondence on the same subject, we are now in receipt of a letter from the Calorizing Corporation of Great Britain, London, dated 10th inst. acknowledging our letter in which By's remarks (By14/H6.8.25) were quoted. They explain that when in their letter of 23rd ult. they mentioned that scaling would take place at the brazed joint, they referred to oxidation, but they now note that the temperature is not excessive at that point.

They have instructed their Works to treat the set of pipes already sent there and to protect the ends so that they can be afterwards brazed. They promise to carry out the work at the earliest possible moment and will be pleased to have our report as soon as we have had an opportunity of examining the pipes and brazing up the joints.

Will Dn. advise me immediately he has news of the arrival of the calorized pipes.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
