Y200 Re Reduction of Chassis weight. TCBG/L5712. Mr Elliott 5.7.12. With reference to your recent report on this matter, Mr Royce remarks as follows with reference to the various points :- 1. Fan bracket in aluminium - 'Doubt- ful, may break. This part may possibly be altered and combined with Lighting Dynamos: 2. Low tension mechanism cover on distributor in aluminium - 'Yes' 3. Oil catcher at rear of magneto drive in aluminium. - 'Yes' 4. Plug at front of magneto drive in aluminium - 'No corners come off and thread might be bad.' 5. Water pump gland nut in aluminium - As No. 4. 6. Clips for magneto wire tubes. - 'Yes' 7. Oil filler die cast with gun metal bush for filling can in position. | ||
