Re 58-GX. GEOFFREY DUVEEN - (Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}3/ME.9. 2. 32)

We attach herewith sketch showing position of spring (EK 7836) which is to be fitted in the thermostat on 58-GX. No other instructions than those given are necessary when fitting up. After fitting spring it would be adviseable to test the car to ascertain the average water temperature whilst running under normal road conditions. The thermostat when fitted with this spring should maintain a cylinder water temperature of approximately 80°C.

It should be noted that the tendency to boil will be greater in hot weather, and any possible complaint on this score will have to be remedied by removing the spring.
