- 11 - BY.1/G.21.4.39. BENTLEY 50. Bodies for the first three cars have been received from Park Wards, and the mockup of the prototype body has been approved. It was agreed at the discussion between Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} to change the B.50 nomenclature to 'Silver Dawn'. The only alteration to the existing specification is the change of radiator to RR. type. CAR FOR SALES TO TRY. 2.B.50 is available for Sales. COSTS. Information on this subject is required. CONTINENTAL BENTLEY. Two complete bodies have been ordered from Vanvooren, and a third body framed up and loosely panelled, but not trimmed. This body is required to be used as a model by English Coachbuilders. 14.B.5. has been sent to France for one of these bodies. SILVER WRAITH. The body for this chassis has been delivered, and the car is being run by the Experimental Department. GENERAL. How many 'Silver Ripple's' are likely to be required for the Show and Demonstration purposes ? RATIONALISED PROGRAMME. Since the issue of Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/R.21.2.39. the following cars have been completed :- 10.B.V., 3.B.50 and 30.G.Vll. 11.B.5, 12.B.V. and 14.B.V. chassis are at coachbuilders for fitting of bodies. 4.B.50. (Cresta) - this chassis is being built, and it is anticipated will be sent to the coachbuilders about the middle of May. | ||
