Hdy.{William Hardy} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ra.3/KT. 20.7.33. PRODUCTION BENTLEY CARS. We ran into trouble with two of the final modifications which were only put on the 10,000 miles car at the last moment. (1) Petrol System. The alteration to the petrol system, moving the petrol tap to the offside of the dashboard - Lsc.3573 - caused serious vapour lock troubles, so that we were stopped on the road a number of times. (2) The latest change speed lever knob rattled badly. We are going ahead producing another set of each of these parts so that we can rectify the troubles, but for the moment they are not ready for release to production.
