Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Commdr.Matravers.

Re your letter of 18th July, we have been in communication with Messrs.Ransome & Marles and they have agreed to grind the end faces and the bores of the 15 rollers which we have ordered from you.

In this case will you please supply the rollers with 0.008" grinding allowance on these surfaces, i.e. the bore should be 0.984 plus 2 and the overall width 1.110 - 2. We hope that this will enable you to produce the parts and that we may expect to receive them at an early date.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
