- 2 - Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd. roller. We therefore suggest that you inspect this arrangement and submit to Messrs. Ransome & Marles that they adopt same type of fixture for the grinding of the ball tracks, in which case we can then revert to the original limits mentioned on the bore of the roller. By adopting the above method, we would also ask that the limits on the overall width dimension, 1.0935" revert to - .000" plus .010", instead of the revised limits on your print, F.61281, which calls for plus .001"- .000". We hope that you will agree to the above suggestions as it will definitely simplify and accelerate production. In any case, at the moment we cannot agree to machining bores to the close limits you ask for on your Drawing F.61281. We note that we are to proceed with 15 rollers to this new scheme, but for the present the rollers to be manufactured oversize by the same amount as our drawings M.22226 and M.22227. We have allocated Drawing No. M.22246 for these present oversize rollers. You will appreciate that we are unable to proceed with the 15 rollers until we have your sanctions to our recommendations as above, and will you, therefore, give this matter your earliest consideration and after receipt of your decision we will push ahead with the production so as to give you the quickest possible delivery. Yours faithfully, for ADAMANT ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED. [Signature] Sales-Manager. | ||
