X140. To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}3/KT.8.8.32. XC516. PEREGRINE II - RADIATOR. With reference to the recent order for matrix tubes for six radiators for Peregrine, we are of the opinion that we should try the best British produced ribbon type matrix on half of the first six cars. If possible, therefore, will you please modify the order for radiator tubes from six sets to three sets, and in place of the three sets cancelled order - 2 Marston Mark III blocks - to be the same thickness as the tubes, viz 2.750" 1 Marston Mark III block - to be 58 mm. thick. The matrices should be made to the same dimensions in other respects, as given to Marstons on our recent order for two Harrison bonded core blocks(Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/MA15.7.32) Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
