PEREGRINE RADIATOR.

We are ordering 2 Harrison Bonded radiator matrixes for Peregrine II. Owing to the efficiency of this type of matrix we assume that the thickness can be reduced to 75% of the present hexagon tube type and still be superior. The matrix we have ordered will be 58 mm thick and it will be necessary to make slight alterations to the top and bottom tanks to enable it to be fitted. It is desired to keep the front of the matrix in the same position relative to the shutters and to use the same side plates and shell. In this manner the outside proportions will be unaltered.

We think the only modifications necessary will be :-

(1) to extend the turn under of the top tank back plate.

(2) to slightly alter the bottom tank casting extending the portion which carries the rear end of the present matrix forward to accomodate the shorter block.

Will you please treat this as urgent and issue the modifications experimentally in order that we may prepare two shells to send away to have the matrixes fitted.
