RR TESTS CARRIED OUT WITH SPARKING PLUGS FITTED WITH 'NER-MIS' ADAPTORS. ----------------------------------------- 1. AUSTIN 7 HP. Have fitted copper tubing over the windscreen wiper, tube inserted in induction pipe, the other end of copper tube immersed in the bottom of a vessel containing 1 pint of water. Started up engine and have drawn the whole of the contents ( 1 pint of water) into engine at about 700 to 900 revs. without missing or stopping engine in any way. Have also drawn in water mixed with DIESEL oil and lubricating oil, and have had practically same results. ***************************** 2. TRIUMPH 7 HP. Have fitted a plug in a 7 HP Triumph which failed to fire from a magneto or coil without adaptor in open circuit, but fired fitted in engine with oil coming directly on to plug with adaptor fitted. When the adaptor was removed the plug refused to fire, but on replacing adaptor the plug fired in a normal manner and was used in this car for three months without a miss. ***************************** 3. CHEVROLET. A four cylinder Chevrolet lorry with four plugs had badly cracked insulators and oiling up sufficiently to cut out a good plug in two days running of eight hours, on being fitted with adaptor the same engine has been running for several weeks without any trouble. ***************************** | ||
