Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED 21 AUG 1926 By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8950 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/WSB22/EW20.8.26. Re Chassis 80-AU. We have received from Cricklewood one Hoffmann No.350 Ball Race removed from the above chassis. The reason for replacement of this bearing was a complaint of harshness. The car was delivered 10.10.24, and has done 22,208 miles, and we shall be glad if you will kindly let us know whether, in view of this mileage, the owner should be called upon to pay for the replacement, and if not, to which account the replacement should be charged. N. also report that on dismantling the lubrication appeared to be quite OK. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} WSB | ||
