x8950 Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Handwritten and crossed out text] BY9/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 23.8.26. CHASSIS 41-MC. With reference to Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/WSB2O/EW. 20.8.26. referring to the question of the broken brake lever, from the front axle, the data supplied is hardly sufficient to enable one to come to any decision. In a matter of this kind one would like to have had the other piece of the broken lever, that is, the ball itself at least, and possibly the coupling itself. I am making a test to satisfy myself that the carburising and hardening has been correctly carried out. This is as far as I can go with the data submitted. BY.{R.W.
