9th January, 1932.

Dear Sirs,

We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 8th instant, announcing your preference for consideration of a 3 XC15 sized battery.

We also have a preference for ebonite as a material for the containers, but unfortunately we have no ebonite mould for the time being. We will therefore prepare the battery in a Dagenite container. We will write you at the beginning of next week stating the earliest time by which we can effect delivery of the trial battery.

We note that your Mr.West may probably come over to the Works to see the battery, and we extend a very cordial invitation to him for this purpose and to see the general manufacture of batteries which we have in hand for your current contracts.

Yours faithfully,

THE CHLORIDE ELECTRICAL STORAGE COMPANY, LTD.
