Starter Motors (Contd)

RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/JRD stated that the Lucas Starter Motor produced at these Works would cost approximately £4.10.0d.

It was decided that a Starter Motor having a cast iron casing should be tested.

Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} promised to confirm the quotations for Starter Motors from Messrs. Lucas. He emphasised the importance of such Starter Motors being completely standard equipment before any actual gain in price could be realised.

It was agreed that the drawings of the latest R.R. designed Starter Motor should be sent to RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/JRD so that cost figures could be available for this unit when produced with specialised equipment, together with the cost of the equipment.
