With reference to the above unit, will you kindly note that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is of the opinion that the Bendix Drive to D.50725 is much superior in many ways to D.50608, which is issued for production, and we should change over to D.50725 at the earliest opportunity. This changeover must not hold up production in any way but the new parts should be produced as quickly as possible, in the meantime continuing with sufficient parts to D.50608 to carry on until D.50725. is ready. Any surplus after D.50725 is fitted to chassis should be scrapped. Any chassis fitted with D.50608. will have to be changed over after they have left the Works. Please receive herewith LOP. D.50725 and all the details contained thereon. These should be put in hand for 250 sets. It should be noted that D.50720 can be produced from D.50600, providing that the machining has not gone too far, D.50721. can be made from D.50601. D.50723 can be made from D.50602. but the majority we think have progressed too far. Would you kindly urge this matter as quickly as possible. BY/Ds. | ||
