Re Special Bentley Flywheel Gear
Ring.

Messrs. Lucas are making up a complete set of electrical parts to our specification for experimental trial on a Bentley chassis.

In order to use their special starter motor pinion which gives us a direct gear reduction instead of having to incorporate a reduction gear in the motor, we require a special flywheel made with a tooth form to suit the motor pinion teeth as shown on attached drawing 255830.

The pitch circle diameter of the wheel will be 14.800 inches and the number of teeth 148 as shown on drawing LX3428 also attached herewith.
