In connection with the suggestion to produce the above as a Die Casting and alternately as a Malleable iron casting, we have already given an estimated saving in factory cost of £4. 0. 0. per chassis set, for producing the housing as Aluminium Die Casting in place of a Mild Steel Forging (memo reference G/Rb.{R. Bowen}5/K/72/W.17437.)

If the Housing is produced in a Malleable Iron casting, we estimate a saving in factory cost of approximately £2. 10. 0. per chassis set.
