Phantom III HSG Gearbox.

This box has been tested on the road, after angle of top cone had been altered, i.e., .004" smaller dia. at small dia. of cone.

Gears.
1st. Heavy forward and on over-run.
2nd. Note fair, even.
3rd. Note fair, even forward and on over-run.

Continuous Gears. Slight sing, free from ballrace noise.

Synchromesh.
2nd. Smooth action, free from crashing, gear obtained easily standing.
3rd. Smooth action.
Top. Smooth action.

Good all round.
