HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} C to BI ORIGINAL R6/M5.9.27. 3.30 7-9-27 PHANTOM & 20HP. EXPERIMENTAL ENGINES RECENTLY BROUGHT HERE. X5770 X8770 Y5060 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has been inclined to think that the inlets are making a noise similar to the fault we ran into when the inlet valve opened during pressure in the cylinder. Whether this is so or not I am a little bit doubtful, but we want you to be aware of the possibility of running into another epidemic of inlet air noises, due to change of timing and overlap.
