TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: AUTOMETAL, 'PHONE, LONDON. TELEPHONE No.: REGENT 5931 x985 CLARE HOUSE, 57, KINGSWAY, LONDON, W.C.2. ERNEST T. WHITE. SOLE DISTRIBUTOR FOR THE BRITISH ISLES Vigolec Your Ref. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd. Nightingale Road. Derby. 6th June 1925. Dear Sirs, re VIGOREC. Replying to your letter of the 3rd instant, Vigorec is a liquid which readily mixes with Petrol and enables Petrol to burn completely without leaving any carbon. The technical explanation is that the detonating point is slightly raised and the rate of combustion slower. Vigorec can hardly be classed as an ordinary Dope, it is something better than that and so far every test we have had made is very satisfactory. I shall be glad to learn whether, as it will cost you nothing, you would be prepared for my technical assistant Mr. Georgano to run a short trial with you on one of your cars at Derby and then, after the same car has run say 300 to 400 miles, you will be able to see the de-carbonizing effect. Yours faithfully, EWhite | ||
