ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To _________ Order No._________ Customer's No. Z made to bear against it. Again, starting cold, the production test was carried out, the results being as follows:- OC volts at 600 rpm 13.8 (as shunt 14.6) Ampere output after 20 minutes on load at 1450 rpm, 12.8. OC volts taken immediately at 700 rpm, 17.2. In each case, before the tests, the machine was run until the brushes were fully bedded to the commutator in the position given it by the armature movement. It does not appear from this test that small deviations (within about .050") in the axial position of the armature, will seriously affect the performance of the machine. Signed H.J.A.
