I confirm mine Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}5/NJ25.4.21.

We are informed by Pinchin, Johnson & Co. Ltd., General Buildings, Aldwych, W.C.2, that the "Formite" Moulding Powder which they think will be suitable for our work is "Formite" Moulding Mixture X.4, the price of which is 3/- per lb.net.

The powders can be supplied in various colours, but are mostly used in "natural" colour, which is a light chocolate brown, and black.

The Damard Lacquer Co. Ltd., manufacturers of the powder, have announced that they will be pleased to give us all the technical advice and help they can and add that they have an extensive Experimental Staff who are fully acquainted with the possibilities of their products.

I would suggest, when we are ready to go ahead, that we send a deputation to the Works of the Damard Lacquer Co. Ltd., 98, Bradford Street, Birmingham, with a view to obtain such information as we need.

I am sending you herewith one copy each of circulars F.3 and F.4, from the Damard Lacquer Co., Regarding insulating Varnishes, as I think these will be of interest to you. I am also sending one copy of each of these circulars to Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, EPC, By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hl.

On Friday, 29th inst. I am visiting two firms in Hanley, namely, Bullers Ltd. and Taylor, Tunnicliff & Co. Ltd. with a view to obtain up-to-date information regarding the porcelain they manufacture for insulating purposes. If I cannot find what we want at either of the firms mentioned, visits will be paid to Doultons Ltd. and James McIntyre & Co. Ltd., of Burslem.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
