X1166 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}26/KW. 24th February, 1936. Messrs. Donald Sessions & Co.Ltd., 906, Harrow Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. Dear Sirs, We send you herewith prints of schemes LeC.5005, LeC.5008 & LeC.5012, shewing the required modifications to the hand pump, the position of the pump andhandle in the car, and the necessary lettering. On LeC.5008, we shew the modified backing plate with pump support lugs. This scheme also shews the reduced angularmotion of the handle, and the stops for the piston. The required marking on the valves is illustrated. We find it necessary to use a part which will withstand the action of the jack fluid. LeC.5005 shews the proposed instruction plate attached to the trap-door in the floor. LeC.5012 shews the angular setting for the pump handle. It will be seen that a 22" handle is the maximum we can use. Tomorrow we will send you a list of the necessary junctions - no new ones are called for. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
