Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bowering. E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/MN. 24.2.36. Phantom III. D.W.S. Hand Pump for Jacks. We send you herewith LeC 5008 showing modifications to the D.W.S. jack pump. These consist of a modified back cover to give greater stiffness and strength to the fixings. We also show the design of the sheet metal bracket for mounting the pump. This drawing shows also, the position of the pump lever on the spindle and the stroke which we require. We cannot use the big angular stroke given on the original D.W.S. pump supplied. We also show on this drawing the lettering required on the pump valves. Another modification shown is the type of stop which we require for the pump piston and the new spacing of the pump inlet slots to suit the reduced travel.
