Dear Sirs,
Re. Electrical Petrol Gauge.

With reference to your letter dated 31st. August, we are sending you herewith a sketch of the petrol tank with which we have supplied you. This will show the positions of the baffles.

It may be the simplest method for this particular tank, to alter the position of the top of the tank unit. It may be possible to cut a hole in the baffle without dismantling the tank, but to alter the position of the baffle would require a new tank. Our present petrol tank is slightly different to the one which we have sent to you, but the attached sketch will no doubt give you the information you require. We are prepared for the tank to be altered, if necessary, to suit your gauge.

We shall be interested to know how the tank lends itself to your gauge. If further troubles develope perhaps you will let us have a detailed drawing of your tank unit.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
