Nos. 5 & 6 were canvas impregnated specimens.
The result on No.5 is low owing to previously existing cracks in the material.

Specimen No.7 was made up with a fibre core and the low breakdown voltage might be accounted for by the different dielectric inductivities of the two materials causing a much larger proportion oft the voltage to be thrown on one of them. The various specimens referred to are sent to R.{Sir Henry Royce} for his examination.
