H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} TO HP. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} [Stamp: ORIGINAL] [Stamp: RECEIVED 8 XI 1923] [Typed and struck through: C.C. to OJ. PJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} ✓] R1/M2.1.23. [Handwritten, crossed out: X741] [Handwritten: X3666] RE. PISTON RING STOPS. I was very pleased to hear that Springfield had re-verted to our standard system of pinning the rings, and pre-sume they are in our standard position, and form. Naturally one next asks who is responsible for de-parting from our standard and without even advising us, let alone obtaining our permission, and also why was this depar-ture made. Mr. Johnson will perhaps enquire into this; discipline in these matters is quite necessary, and I must insist upon it. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
