The Author of this Paper has had practical experience in the Works of the British Thomson-Houston Co. at Rugby. After graduating at Birmingham University he obtained a Research Scholarship awarded by the British Electrical & Allied Manufacturers' Association, and the degree of Ph.D. was granted on the results of an extensive research on the Influence of Aluminium on Cast Iron, conducted with the guidance of Professor T. Turner, and in collaboration with the British Cast Iron Research Association. He is now engaged on a research on Nickel in Cast Iron, under the direction of Professor D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Hanson and with the assistance of local manufacturers, and of the British Cast Iron Research Association. He is a member of the leading Metallurgical Societies. The Bureau of Information-on Nickel collects and correlates all information of a technical and practical character with regard to the use of Nickel and the numerous Nickel Alloys and places such knowledge freely at the disposal of British Industry. 2, METAL EXCHANGE BUILDINGS, LONDON, E.C. 3. | ||
