For the attention of Mr.H.T.Barker.

Dear Sir,

We thank you for your letter of the 10th and 11th inst.

Further to our visit to your Works, we are arranging to send you two flywheels and studs as arranged.

We have been thinking further on the question of cover distortion and find that the clutches are no longer delivered in cartons but are stacked in our Stores in piles of eight or so, one on top of the other. This may tend to distort the bottom ones and we are arranging for storage racks to be built so as to obviate the possibility. We do not know what system you adopt at your end, but we think the point worth consideration.

We are anxiously awaiting your report on the success or otherwise of the new fixture. In the meantime we wish to express our surprise that after the finger trouble has been a serious matter for so long your inspector should be under the impression that he was allowed a tolerance of .008"

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
