Dear Mr. Robotham,

Referring to the conversation which we have had regarding the tendency in America in respect of rim diameters - I think you may be interested in the following extract from "Wires" for July 1930 :-

"The increase in the 19-inch rim was at the expense chiefly of the 20-inch rim, which last year accounted for about 40 per cent of the totals of rims inspected and approved in the first six months, whereas this year this diameter rim accounted for only about 2 1/2 per cent of the total.

In the high pressure sizes the 20-inch truck rim continues to be the most popular size, although it lost ground during the past year, now representing about 17 per cent of the total of all sizes and types of rims compared with a little more than 18 per cent for the total during the first six months of 1929."
