Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/ML. 16.9.40. G.S.Selman,Esq., The British Power Boat Co., HYTHE, [struck through] Southampton. Dear Selman, Further to my letter of 11.9.40. The Admiralty have now changed their minds and you are getting the lightened, pedestal type of mounting. The change is putting back the delivery date a bit but we still hope to get the gun down by the end of the week. The shield may have to follow the gun. We hope it's weight may be more reasonable than the one we fitted up on the Oerlikon mounting. Yours sincerely, | ||
