We are not quite clear
what mounting you require for the second gun.

We have an Oerlikon mounting,
complete with shields, as requested by Commander Young
and feel that if, at any time, Oerlikon mountings are
going to be used with the Rolls Royce gun, this set-up
should be tested as soon as possible.

We say this because we are
perturbed by both the weight (366 lbs), the windage
and inertia of this shield.

We shall be glad if, on receipt
of this letter, you would send us a telegram specifying
what mounting you require for the second gun.

Yours sincerely,
