WRAITH III - REVISED OIL RELIEF VALVES TO SUIT HIGH FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING.

Please receive herewith E.CD.62 modified Relief Valve, Piping and Wheelcase - Wraith III.

This alteration is necessary to suit the later design of front engine mounting E.CD.61, it is also suitable for use in conjunction with the front engine suspension using side feet, therefore all future engines should include this modified relief valve.

The oil supply pipe to bye-pass filter is also shown on this design, and we have called for a boss to be added on the cylinder block for a pipe clip.

The position of one of the wheelcase studs has had to be altered slightly, in order to make the oil overflow hose on wheelcase less obtrusive, and this calls for a modification to crankcase to suit.

Will DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ald{F. Allwood - Experimental Design}, please note the revised relief valve when fixing the position of bonnet catches for Bentley III, as we are intending to use this design for Bentley III also, and as shown, there is not an excessive clearance at this point on the Wraith III bonnet.

Will E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Department please detail and instruct as soon as possible for future Wraith III engines.

* But an existing crankcase casting not previously drilled, can be used by drilling the stud hole in the new position.
