BRAKE LINING MATERIAL. X749
X.4466

From experience so far it is practically certain that all S.S. cars will have to be fitted with Ferobestos brake linings.

We should not at the moment recommend scrapping the bonded material as the position will be re-considered when we have had more experience with Fero-bestos.

As regards Tenoid. We do not recommend that we should purchase any more of this material either for the Phantom or the 20 HP.

We are enquiring from the Test Dept and Depots as regards the behaviour of the Tenoid which has already been fitted, and a decision as regards what to do with the present stock will have to be made later.

For the moment, we recommend that we carry on with standard bonded asbestos material for the 20 HP. cars.
